Sungabha Nepal has helped thousands of marginalised women since 2006.

The Vision of Sungabha Nepal is to encourage, equip and empower women, children and communities from various backgrounds of Nepal.

Our mission is to foster educational opportunities by equipping 7 underserved communities with resources, encouraging a culture of learning, and empowering women and children in those communities to reach their full potential by 2030.

The Sungabha Nepal Story

Stephanie Woollard began Sungabha Nepal (previously known as Seven Women) at age 22 after meeting seven disabled women working in a tin shed in Kathmandu.

These seven women were struggling to make a living in the face of harsh discrimination. With her last $200, Steph paid for a trainer to teach the women how to produce products for sale locally and abroad - and Sungabha Nepal was born.

Since 2006, Steph has built up the Sungabha Nepal team and launched an Australian arm for fundraising and a sales channel for our ever growing operation in Nepal.

12 years after her meeting in a tin shed that started it all, thousands of women and children have been educated, trained and employed by Sungabha Nepal.

Sungabha Nepal is empowering Nepali women, transforming their lives and their communities.

Steph is available to talk at functions and you can read more about Steph and Sungabha Nepal in her book From a Tin Shed to the United Nations; how everyone of us can make a difference.

In 2016, a documentary was made about Sungabha Nepal's work which has now been hosted hundreds of times. Watch our trailer below and please let us know if you would like to host a screening to support us spread the world.
